A Message From Executive President
Francis N. Oseji
                              The President and his Role

The first engagement of the association is to support educational institutions at home. I am
known as Francis Oseji and the President of this wonderful association that we call, Ubulu-Uku
USA Inc., Association. I am a native of Ubulu-Uku town in Delta State of the Federal Republic
of Nigeria.  Prior to my arrival in USA, I attended Saint Anthony’s College Ubulu-Uku for my
high school education. I arrived in USA in August of 1978 for an undergraduate degree in
Computer Science at Alabama A&M University.  Having graduated in Computer Sciences with a
Masters Degree from Atlanta University, I taught for two years at an Undergraduate College
before jumping ship to affiliate with US corporate life. As a certified Realtor, I practice Real
Estate sales at my spare time.

The Ubulu-Uku, USA (UUU) was founded in January of 2002 after the summit in Dallas. They
were twenty participants at the meeting and they came from different parts of USA. The chief
architect and organizer of this summit was Mr. Emmanuel Emordi who currently resides in
California. I applaud him for sharing the same vision and he will ever be remembered for his
brilliant idea.

Being the current President of the Ubulu-Uku, USA, for the second term, it is encouraging that
we started with nothing but within four years span, the association has made great leaps in
accordance to the association’s goals. This is a not-for profit organization and efforts are
channelled in making it feasible. The first engagement of the association is to support education
at home especially at Anglican Grammar School, Ubulu-Uku which has the most dilapidated
school structures. Many of our members attended and obtained their High School Diplomas
from these schools that are now suffering from poor conditions coupled with dilapidated
buildings. The High School Diploma was the springboard to an individual gaining an entry into
USA for higher education. A review of our town and its people in Ubulu-Uku revealed that the
schools we once attended were in ruins. The agony in seeing these institutions in such terrible
state is indescribable and it strengthened the associations’ desire to throw our immediate
attention to raise funds to support in renovation of the school buildings. As a result, our first
selected project to fix one of the buildings at Anglican Grammar School is estimated at a cost
between $29,629.63 and $33,333.33 depending on the exchange control rate. We have
successfully held three conventions and raised funds in Houston, Maryland, and Chicago
respectively between 2002 and 2006. We have a calendar of convention events for the next there
years. These future Conventions are scheduled for Atlanta in 2007, Dallas in 2008, and California
in 2009. An addition to the list of accomplishments is the newly constructed UUU Website from
where you are able to read and share information.

Our memberships are proud of our successes and where we are at this point. Our first goal is
within reach. All these leaps logically make it possible to strengthen our cohesiveness as an
association and work as a team. New membership is welcome and is ongoing. I encourage those
seeking to join the association to simply follow the steps for registration on the website.

As the president, it is my duty to oversee and coordinate all the various activities of the
association. The president shares the advantages of having a team of dedicated executive
members that strongly anchor for great successes. Notably, the executives and the president
offer their individual services bona fide.

Warm Regards,

Francis Oseji
President of Ubulu-Uku, USA
